The VA-20
Check out Michael Shuler trying out the new VA-20
The VA-20 is the amp "formally known as the Twin", but sporting a 12" speaker instead of the pair of oval speakers. An amp designed for the gigging player, it has the volume to keep up as well as cut through the rest of the band with a bit more clean headroom, all while maintaining that signature Vintage 47 / Valco Octal tube sound. In a word (or 2) Big & Fat! For those lighter fare gigs, or when you want the breakup without the volume, just flip the half power switch for earlier breakup at a lower volume. It is a loud amp, so the half power switch can be a welcomed addition. This delivers crisp highs to booming lows and everything in between. All hand wired octal tube circuitry. Aged lacquered tweed with tolex circling the cabinet, separated with beading, covers our finger joined baltic birch cabinet. An incredibly versitile amp for both guitar and harp.
We make a number of modifications for the harmonica player. Please let us know if your amp will require these. No additional charge for the harp mods.
The standard VA-20 comes equiped with a Enenence Lil Texas Neo speaker. Also available for the same price is the Weber Vintage 12A125 or 12F125.
